Welcome to Totally Tracey Online, a website devoted to covering the work and career of Tracey Ullman, British-American actress-comedienne-social satirist-writer-singer-dancer-mimic. It covers all phases of her career, from her early work in the UK to her brief career as a hit recording artist, from her fondly remembered Fox series The Tracey Ullman Show through her well-regarded HBO series Tracey Takes On… to her bitingly satirical Showtime series Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union. It catalogues her appearances on talk shows over the years, mainly American shows but with a few British and Canadian appearances noted and commented upon. It lists, or attempts to list, the characters she’s portrayed in her various series – and there are a lot of characters!

This site started in 1996 as the Tracey Ullman Mini-Page, to distinguish it from the more elaborate Tracey Ullman “Go Home” Page maintained by my friend Andrew in Toronto. Over the years, as I added to the site, it became clear that “Mini-Page” was no longer accurate, and so I came to call it Totally Tracey Online. In late 2006, I turned the front page of the site into a blog with news items and other comments. And in 2010, prodded by a decision by Blogger to stop servicing blogs they didn't host, I decided to reformat the whole site and manage its content more effectively, and so here we are.

Now I have been contacted a number of times over the years in the belief that I am operating Tracey's official website or am in regular contact with her. I have something I must say about that:

This site, in any of its incarnations and locations, is not and has never been officially connected with Tracey Ullman in any way. It is not and has never been her official website.

To my knowledge, she has never had an official personal website. Her production companies have had official websites (notably the old site for Takes On Productions during the TTO run), and she was partners in an online store for a time (Purple Skirt and its brother site Purple Pants), but she’s never had an official personal website.
